Why Get Baptized?

Identifying with Jesus
Jesus was baptized to fulfill all righteousness, even though He had no sin. By doing so, He demonstrated the importance of baptism for all sinners (Matthew 3:15-16).

Obeying Jesus
Jesus commanded us to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). Baptism is an act of obedience to this command.

Proclaiming Jesus
Baptism is a public declaration of the transformation we’ve experienced through faith in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). It’s about sharing the joy of our new life in Christ.

Displaying What Jesus Did for Us
Baptism symbolizes Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-5). It’s a declaration of the change that has already taken place in our hearts through faith in Him. 

Important Note 

Baptism does not save us. God's grace through faith in Jesus does. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. You declare your love for Jesus and proclaim what He has done in your life. It's all a part of a relationship.

We’ll gather for a scriptural recap on what baptism is all about, hear the stories of those getting baptized, pray and have the baptism. This will be followed by some breakfast on the beach.

It is a celebration, so join us whether you are getting baptized or supporting those being baptized.Be sure to bring your beach gear and Bible!
