We are coming to the close of Project Joy!
Project Joy is our Thanksgiving and Christmas Outreaches.
The Thanksgiving outreach is our collection of dry and canned goods to be delivered to needy families in our area.
This Sunday, November 15th and then Wednesday night, November 18th at our Prayer meeting will be the last opportunity to drop off any thanksgiving food donations.
On Saturday, November 21st @ 8am we will be gathering at the school to deliver our thanksgiving food donations to families in need. If you would like to be apart of one of our delivery teams, please sign up at the Welcome Center. This is always a time where you will be more blessed than the families that end up receiving the thanksgiving meals!
The Christmas Outreach- Operation Christmas Child
We are still collecting Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes until Sunday, November 22nd. Please pick up your shoebox and information at the Welcome Center and return them by next Sunday.
Thanks to all who have participated so far in the year’s Project Joy!
List of items include, canned beans, canned corn, boxed potatoes or real potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, olives, dinner rolls, canned yams, and any other item that would help make a thanksgiving meal a tasty one.
We also invite you to donate a gift card from a supermarket that can be given to families so they can buy a turkey for their thanksgiving meal.
As Jesus said, ‘It is more blessed to give then receive, so not only are we bringing Joy to others, but end up blessed with some extra joy in the process. Make sure to Stop by the welcome center for more information or email Heather@thecrossfl.org.
