Hey, Cross Family!
Project Joy is underway! This year we want to Give Thanks by Giving Back and provide the Good News with Great Joy! Our Project Joy consists of Two (2) Parts.
The first is our Thanksgiving Food Drive where will be partnering with Highland Oaks Middle school by collecting the following non-perishable food items and $25 dollar gift cards from Publix or Winn-Dixie for a turkey or ham to bless families in need at the school, within our church body, and surrounding community.
We will be collecting from November 4th-18th.
Then, on Saturday, Nov 21st at 8:30am we will gather together to deliver a full Thanksgiving meal to bless and show the love of Jesus to each family. Save the date, if you’d like to be a part of this outreach. We will be asking for an rsvp soon!
Thanksgiving Food Drive Items
Cans of Green Beans, Corn, Cream of Mushroom Soup
Boxes of Stuffing & Mashed Potatoes
Jars of Gravy
Chocolates or Dessert (Canned Pumpkin, Ready Made Crusts)
$25 Giftcards for families to get a turkey or ham
The second part of Project Joy, is Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. It’s time to gather your shoeboxes and fill them toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Now more than ever, children need hope, and a gift-filled shoebox. You can pick up a shoebox at our office or purchase your own. Once your shoe-box is filled you can drop it off at our office and we will make sure it gets taken to a drop off location to be shipped and received to a child around the world. National Collection Week is November 16th-23rd. Please drop off your shoebox no later than Monday, Nov 23rd at 12pm at our office.
Lastly, we want to bless our single moms and will be collecting gift cards to Target and Walmart to help with any needs and to help buy Christmas presents this year. You can drop off these gift cards to our office or give a special online offering through our Pushpay App under Project Joy.
