CrossWord Proverb For The Day ‘Wisdom Works’

10 When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
11 Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you,
12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,
13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice in doing evil, And delight in the perversity of the wicked;
15 Whose ways are crooked, And who are devious in their paths;
16 To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words..       Proverbs 2:10-16

Ok, so its not just one verse today…this was too powerful a look at how wisdom works and the promises it delivers… when we seek wisdom and let it enter our hearts, great things are promised!  Knowledge, Discretion, Understanding, will all be a part of our character and at the same time we will be delivered from the making evil choices, delivered from evil people, and delivered from the immoral woman (#oldschoolashleymadison)….now, how do we get wisdom? Its got to be an everyday seeking, not ever assuming we are filled to the brim with wisdom. Hopefully reading the word is not a chore for us, if it is, we gotta pray and ask God to make it fresh for us…God is your source of wisdom and the bible is His words of wisdom..We must let the incredibly powerful word of God penetrate our being each and every day, seek God and ask Him to give us that wisdom and then live like Jesus is walking with us in whatever we do. He is wisdom. We can’t leave Him out of our daily life and decisions. When we get it, wisdom works…

      CrossWord Proverb for the day ‘avoiding evil..no matter how it looks’

      Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on…Proverbs 4:14-15

      Its easy to follow this admonition when evil looks evil…when its a path that is obvious evil, then we would want to avoid it as we do when we would bypass going down an unfamiliar, dark alley, late at night……but we need to apply this truth when evil may seem tempting, enjoyable and pleasurable..evil does not always present itself in an evil costume…no, it comes disguised as things we like and offers temporary pleasure…we live in a world where its easy to run into evil right on your laptop or phone…the more we love God the more we will hate evil and want to avoid it…walk by the Spirit and the choice to avoid it will be easier.
